The sixth match of the IPL was played between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kolkata Knight Riders at the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai. RCB won the low-scoring match by 3 wickets in the last over despite losing back-to-back wickets. Batting first, Kolkata set a target of 129 against RCB. The team had a hard time chasing him but Dinesh Karthik turned my innings around.

Duplessis’ captaincy remained aggressive in the powerplay

Bangalore captain Faf Duplessis chose to bowl before winning the toss. Meanwhile, Royal Challengers Bangalore bowlers started creating pressure from the first over. In Teva, Akash Deep took 2 wickets for 23 runs in 2 overs. He collected pavilions for Venkatesh Iyer and Nitish Rana. So Siraj also took the wicket of Ajinkya Rahane and brought the team into the game. After the powerplay, Vanindu Hasaranga dismissed Kolkata captain Shreyas Iyer in the 7th over.
